What an event page is
An event page is the web page your viewers open. It holds your video player, a chat, and the blocks you choose: a promo banner, a call-to-action button, cards, forms and polls.
The video stays on your own platform, for example YouTube or Vimeo. OKO never hosts, re-encodes or streams it. OKO builds the page around the player and measures what happens on that page.
Every event page lives in a workspace. Your personal workspace is the default.
Create the event
- Open “Events” in the sidebar.
- Press “Create event”. If you belong to more than one workspace, “Create in…” lets you choose where the event lives.
- OKO creates the page as a draft and opens it in Setup. Nothing is published, and viewers cannot see the page.
Fill in Setup
- In the “Event” card, enter the event title. Add the event date, the speaker and a short description if you want them on the page.
- Set the event date before you publish. Publishing needs a date, and the date uses the time zone from your profile.
- In the “Video” card, paste your player link or embed code. The video article lists what works.
- Switch on only the blocks this event needs. Every block can stay off.
- Setup saves your changes automatically and shows whether they are saved.
Check the page before you publish
“What the viewer sees” shows the page at desktop and phone width while you edit. “Open page” opens the real page. While the page is a draft, only people with access to the event can open it, and they see a preview: presence, clicks and form submissions are not recorded.
The “Ready for broadcast” list in Setup shows what is still missing, such as the title or the video link.
A new event starts with the chat panel on and message intake closed. You open the chat from Analytics, or switch on “Open when the session starts” in the chat settings of Setup.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a paid plan to create an event page?
No. Creating a page, building it and previewing every block are free. Payment is needed when you publish, because publishing costs lumens. The publishing article explains what a publication buys.
Can viewers see my page as soon as I create it?
No. A new page is a draft. Viewers who open its link see a message that the page is not published yet. Only your team sees the preview.
Can I copy an existing event instead of starting from scratch?
Yes. “Duplicate” in the events list creates a new draft with the video link, blocks, forms and polls of the original. The copy is a separate page with its own address.
