How to use banners, buttons, cards, forms and polls, and show them live

You set up banners, call-to-action buttons, cards, forms and polls as blocks in Setup, and the live control room, which is part of Pro and Max, lets you show and hide them while the show runs. Blocks are the parts of the event page around your video.

The blocks

“Promo banner”: an image with a link. Its button can open a link, a form or a poll.

“Primary CTA”: a block under the video with a title, a short description and one button.

“Cards”: up to six cards, each with an image, a text and a button. Cards count as one block, however many you add.

“Forms & surveys”: up to ten forms, each with up to twenty fields. A field can be text, phone, email, multiline text, a dropdown with one choice or checkboxes with several. A button on the banner, the call to action or a card can open a form instead of a link. Answers arrive as leads in Analytics.

“Polls”: one question with two to ten options, with one answer or several. Viewers vote in a pop-up. You see the live count in Analytics and decide when viewers see the results.

“Video placeholder”: a cover or glass overlay with an optional countdown, shown over the player before the start.

The chat is a block too, and it has its own article.

What blocks cost

Five blocks cost 10 lumens each when you publish: the banner, the call to action, cards, forms and polls. The chat and the video are free. A block you switch on after publishing costs the same 10 lumens, charged when you save in Setup.

Showing and hiding blocks from the control room does not cost anything per click. The control room itself is bought per show, as the section on the live control room below explains.

Default visibility

Each banner, call to action and set of cards has a “Default visibility” in Setup: “Visible by default” or “Hidden by default”. Without the control room, an enabled block simply follows that default.

A block that starts hidden can only be shown from the control room. On a plan without the control room, Setup does not offer “Hidden by default”, because the block could never be shown.

The live control room

In Analytics, “Live controls” hold a switch for each block. Turning the switch on puts the block on the page and turning it off takes it away, for every viewer who has the page open, without a reload. “Reset to default” hands the block back to its Setup default. “Details” opens the block’s statistics.

The control room costs 50 lumens per show and comes with Pro and Max. You turn it on in the publish dialog (“Live control room”), or later in Analytics with “Turn on the control room”. A teammate needs the “Control live blocks” permission to use it.

Polls have their own controls. “Open voting”, “Close voting”, “Show results” and “Hide results” work without the control room. “Launch for everyone” and “Reset results” need it.

The chat controls and the “Live badge” are free on every plan. The live badge is a small “Live” label on the page. You choose when it appears: “Follow analytics session”, “Show manually”, “Use event time” or “Always hide”. It is a label you control, not a reading of your video.

If you change text or images in Setup during the show, press “Refresh viewers” so the pages that are already open pick up the saved changes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I show a banner at a chosen moment of my webinar?

Yes, with the control room. Set the banner to “Hidden by default” in Setup, then switch the banner on in Analytics at the moment you want it. The control room is part of Pro and Max, at 50 lumens per show.

Do I need the control room to use banners, cards and forms?

No. Blocks work from Setup alone and follow their default visibility. The control room only adds showing and hiding them live.

How many lumens do blocks cost?

Each of the five paid blocks costs 10 lumens when you publish. Chat and video are free. The control room is 50 lumens per show.

Where do form answers go?

They arrive as leads in Analytics, under “Forms & leads”, where you can use “Download CSV”. OKO MCP can also list the leads for your AI client.
